The Tragic Story of My Beloved Blush

So, I guess it's National Toss Your Make-Up Month!!!! I didn't even know there was such a thing!!!!!!!!! At first I thought it was just a ploy to get me to buy new make-up (which it probably still is!!) but they had some cold hard facts out there about just how disgusting it is to keep old make-up. "Every time you touch your makeup or skin-care lotions and potions, you transfer germs to them — and, subsequently, to your face. Heat and humidity, which promote the growth of mold and yeast, are factors, too. That’s one reason the bathroom, though convenient, isn’t the ideal spot to store cosmetics. (High levels of airborne bacteria can contaminate beauty products, too.) A better place: a cool, dry linen closet."--from Good House Keeping Well, I hate to admit it BUT I realized as I read all this info that I had one item in particular that I had had for 3 years!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! It was my blush...though rarely used it was a great color & very very old.

Sooooooo, out it went! My heart died a little that day -- somehow without knowing it I had become very attached to that contaminated beauty product . . . I almost reached into the trash & saved it from certain death BUT I resisted. Now, I had to replace it . . .
So, in the end CVS won the battle and convinced me to buy new make-up . . . meanwhile my dear blush is lonely in some landfill. Hopefully, it will make friends with all the other sad dejected & contaminated make-up this month.
